A Normal Day in the Village
June 4, 2007
Today was just a normal day in the village and Pocahontas was fishing, and I was making sure that everything was ok. In the village there is some houses made of clay like little igloos and in the centre of the village there was a big fireplace where they would sing and dance around the fire. Also at the docks people where just going out for a little rides on the little boats or going on a fishing trip. The fish that they ate mostly was Sturgeon, and some turtles. Some of the bugs that we have in our village are mosquitoes, brackish tidal, mayflies, chiggers, and ticks.
Hello Powhatan, I must say that to have that many different types of bugs in one area like that is quite horrid, and i expect that your tribe has some way to get rid of those nuisances. But in other matters, I would like to know more about these fish you call sturgeons. Are they tastful? How many people would they feed? Are they easy to catch?
Hello John Smith to let you know it is quite horrid as you say because when you are not worrying about one kind of bug you have to worry about another kind of bug. For you question about how do we get rid of the bugs, we usually have a big fire and put moss on it and that makes a lot of smoke and it scars the bugs away. For the questions about the fish, they are quite tasteful, they can feed up to 20 people per fish, and they are very hard to catch them.
