Powhatan
Hello my name is Wahunsenacawh I was born in one of the village’s arround Tenakomakah. My nickname is Powhatan, and I have a lot of family. I grew up in the villages with my family, one of the villages that I stayed in the most was Tenakomakah. One of my brother’s names is Opechancanough.
I became a supreme ruler of most of the native tribes in the Chesapeake Bay area from north of the Mattaponi River. Also I became the leader of the Algonquian natives. I became the leader of 4 or 5 tribes.
Through out my life I had over 100 wives, and lots of daughters. One of my favourite daughters was Matoaka, better known by the nickname of Pocahontas. In 1614 my daughter Pocahontas married John Rofle one of the settlers. After they married it made piece for a few years between the settlers and the native people.
I usually wear chains of great pearls arround my neck covered with raccoon skins. Wear my cloak too made from deerskin and decorated with shell patterns. My hair is some what gray. My beard is very thin.
Then at 1617 my daughter died from diseases in England. A year after she died, I died from diseases too but in Virginia.
John Smith
My name is John Smith and I was born in 1580 in Willoughby, England. I have been many places in my life, those including Hungary, Turkey, various places all over Europe and started a colony called Jamestown in the New World.
After a four and a half month journey over the ocean we made land and stared with Jamestown’s construction. But after much fuss and hassle with the local natives, a few years later I was sent back home to England because of a gunpowder burn. After trying to go back for years and years but to no avail or being sent back due to bad weather, I lived out my life writing a few books on my time in the New World, about its many inhabitants and the experiences there.
But even before I went to the New World, I was well traveled. Like I said before, I had already been all over most of Europe and spent some time in the Middle East as a prisoner that was released to live with my captor’s brother, whom I killed. And after that I returned to England. From there on you know all about already form my short biography and the posts I have written on the other page.
My life came to its end in the year 1631 at the age of 51. I had lived a long life for any man at that time in history and it was full of adventure and excitement. What more could I possibly have asked for?
